History
At the next FIDAF World Congress in October 2018, FIDAF Kosovo went to Seoul, South Korea with a new proposal to join Albania in the big FIDAF family (Federation of International Dance Festivals).
On October 13, 2018, all member states voted for Albania to become part of FIDAF World with national representative Mr. Gëzim Alimehmeti, on that day the Certificate of Membership was signed where Albania was the 83rd member state of FIDAF World.
FIDAF Albania started its activity in the same year when it participated in the FIDAF Europe Summit that was held from November 30 to December 2, 2018 in Buyukçekmece, Istanbul-Turkey. In this Summit, many ideas were presented about the Festivals held and to be held in Europe.
"INTERNACIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL TIRANA"
The representatives of FIDAF Albania at this Summit came up with the idea of a Festival of the size and high artistic level that Albania has been missing for a long time. And this idea, after many efforts and numerous commitments, was finalized with the receipt of the "INTERNACIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL TIRANA" Festival Certificate dated December 22, 2020 and entry into the 2021 World Calendar as the FIDAFWorld Festival in Albania.
